IT Vortex hybrid cloud connecting on-premises infrastructure to the cloud
Hybrid Cloud Services

Public Cloud Where It Makes Sense. Private Cloud Where It Doesn't.

Hybrid cloud is not a buzzword. It is the right answer when some workloads need public cloud elasticity and the rest need private cloud predictability. We architect both sides, run the interconnect, and bill you in plain English.

Why Hybrid Cloud

The Question Was Never Which Cloud.

It was always which workloads belong where. Hybrid cloud is just engineering: classify your workloads honestly, place each one where the math works, connect them properly, and operate them as one environment.

Workload Portability

Layer 2 VPN, dedicated interconnects, and standardized tooling mean workloads can move both directions. The placement decision is not permanent.

Right-Cost Per Workload

Bursty and unpredictable workloads on hyperscaler. Steady-state workloads on private cloud. The blend is almost always cheaper than all-in on either side.

Dedicated Interconnects

AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and Google Cloud Interconnect. Private network paths, not internet VPNs. Predictable latency and no public-internet exposure.

Unified Security Posture

NSX policy on the private side, native cloud SGs on the public side, with consistent identity and access management across both. One security model, two infrastructure planes.

What's Included

The Architecture That Actually Works.

Multi-Hyperscaler Connectivity

Native interconnects to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud from our datacenters. Not internet IPSec. Dedicated bandwidth, BGP routing, redundant paths.

Private-Side Steady-State Workloads

ERP, databases, file servers, virtual desktops, and internal apps run on dedicated private cloud infrastructure with predictable monthly cost.

Public-Side Elastic Workloads

Customer-facing web tiers, batch jobs, machine learning training, and dev/test environments live on the hyperscaler where elasticity actually pays for itself.

Cross-Cloud Backup & DR

Backup repositories on the opposite cloud from production. Survive a regional event on either side without losing your data or your recovery path.

Identity Federation

Microsoft Entra, Okta, or Active Directory federated across private and public planes. Users get one identity, one set of access controls, one audit trail.

Single Management Pane

Capacity, cost, performance, and security visible from one dashboard. We do not pretend hyperscaler bills are simple, but we make them legible.

Built for This Work

Vendor-Neutral by Design. Hybrid by Default.

Certified Across All Three Hyperscalers

AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud certifications on staff. We are not a VMware shop pretending to do AWS. We architect for the workload, not for the vendor relationship.

VMware Cloud on AWS Capable

When the right answer is vSphere-native workloads running on hyperscaler infrastructure, VMware Cloud on AWS is a real option. We deploy and manage it.

Layer 2 Network Extension

We extend your existing L2 networks across private and public planes. IP renumbering, application reconfiguration, and dependency mapping are not your problem.

Cost Optimization on Both Sides

We manage hyperscaler reserved instances, savings plans, and commitment-based pricing on your behalf. Private-side capacity sizing is reviewed quarterly.

Who It's For

When Hybrid Is the Honest Answer.

Hybrid is not the right model for every customer. It is the right model when workload diversity makes single-cloud commitments wasteful, and when the cost of running everything on hyperscaler has become unsustainable.

Distributed Workforces

Customer-facing portals on hyperscaler for global reach, internal systems on private cloud for predictable cost. The pattern that supports growing organizations without breaking budgets.

  • Public web tier with CDN
  • Private backend systems
  • Federated identity layer
  • Cross-cloud backup

Data-Heavy Workloads

Hyperscaler-native data tools (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks) for analytics, private cloud for the operational databases that feed them. The math on this almost always favors hybrid.

  • Private OLTP databases
  • Public analytics platforms
  • ETL across the boundary
  • Predictable egress economics

Bursty Plus Steady-State

Manufacturing, retail, and seasonal businesses where most of the year runs on predictable infrastructure but specific events demand temporary elasticity.

  • Base load on private cloud
  • Peak load on hyperscaler
  • Auto-scale orchestration
  • Cost predictability year-round

Common Questions

What People Ask Before They Sign.

How do you decide which workload belongs where?
+

We start with a workload classification exercise: usage patterns, performance profile, compliance requirements, data gravity, dependency map. Steady-state and predictable workloads almost always favor private cloud economics. Bursty, unpredictable, or customer-facing workloads often favor hyperscaler elasticity. Some workloads land in the middle and the decision comes down to data gravity and team skills.

Are the interconnects internet VPNs or real dedicated links?
+

Real dedicated links. AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and Google Cloud Interconnect. BGP-routed, redundant, sized to your bandwidth needs. Not site-to-site IPSec over the public internet. Private network paths matter for security, latency, and reliability.

How is identity managed across both planes?
+

Federation. Your existing Microsoft Entra, Okta, or Active Directory becomes the source of truth. Users authenticate once, access resources on either plane based on group membership and policy. Single sign-on, single audit trail, single offboarding action when someone leaves.

What happens if AWS or Azure has a regional outage?
+

Hybrid design assumes hyperscaler regional events will happen. Backup repositories live on the opposite cloud or in our private cloud. DR runbooks are written and tested. The private-side workloads continue running normally because they do not depend on the hyperscaler for operation.

Can you optimize my existing hyperscaler spend?
+

Yes. Reserved instances, savings plans, instance right-sizing, storage tier migration, idle resource cleanup. Most customers see meaningful savings on the hyperscaler side independent of any migration to private cloud. The optimization work pays for itself within the first quarter.

How long does hybrid setup take?
+

Eight to sixteen weeks for a typical mid-market environment, depending on workload count and how clean the existing hyperscaler footprint is. Dedicated interconnect provisioning takes four to six weeks lead time and runs in parallel with workload assessment and migration planning.
