VMware product documentation moved to the Broadcom Knowledge Portal at knowledge.broadcom.com. All vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and Cloud Director technical documentation, KB articles, and product downloads now require a Broadcom support account. If you are an IT Vortex managed cloud customer, we handle Broadcom support escalation on your behalf so you do not need a direct Broadcom support contract.
Open the ticket with IT Vortex first via our service desk at servicedesk.theitvortex.com. Our engineers triage the issue, gather diagnostic data, and escalate to the vendor on your behalf using our Premier partner channels. Vendor escalations from partners are prioritized higher than direct customer tickets, which means your issue gets attention faster than it would if you went straight to the vendor.
A knowledge base contains self-service technical articles, configuration guides, and troubleshooting steps that are publicly accessible or require only a free account. A support portal is where you open tickets, track active cases, and access licensed downloads tied to your service contract. For most operational questions, the knowledge base is faster. For specific problems requiring vendor engineer assistance, the support portal is the right path.
The Veeam knowledge base at veeam.com/knowledge-base.html is publicly accessible without a license. Veeam community forums and product downloads require a free Veeam account. Support ticket creation requires an active license agreement. IT Vortex Veeam-licensed BaaS and DRaaS customers can also open Veeam support tickets through our service desk.
Use the Fortinet Upgrade Path Tool at docs.fortinet.com which validates supported upgrade sequences for your specific FortiGate model and current firmware version. Skipping recommended interim versions is the most common cause of failed upgrades. For production firewall upgrades, IT Vortex managed security customers can request a pre-upgrade compatibility review through our service desk.
Nutanix documentation lives at portal.nutanix.com and is organized by product (AHV, Prism, Files, Objects, Move). The portal requires a free Nutanix account. AHV-specific reference architecture documents and best practices are published in the Tech Notes section. IT Vortex Nutanix Partner status gives us access to advanced sizing tools and reference architectures we can share with customers under engagement.
The Microsoft 365 admin help is at support.microsoft.com with separate sections for end users and administrators. The Microsoft Learn platform at learn.microsoft.com hosts deeper technical documentation including Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and Exchange Online configuration guides. Microsoft Tech Community forums are useful for peer answers on edge cases not covered in official documentation.
CrowdStrike Falcon documentation is gated behind the customer support portal at supportportal.crowdstrike.com and requires an active Falcon subscription. Public CrowdStrike resources are limited to threat intel reports and high-level product overviews. IT Vortex CrowdStrike-managed customers access Falcon documentation and console training through our managed security service.
Three escalation paths in order of speed: First, search the vendor community forum (most have one) for peer answers on edge cases. Second, open a vendor support ticket if you have a direct support contract. Third, contact IT Vortex if you are a managed customer or if the vendor is one we partner with. We have engineer-level access to vendor escalation paths that public customers do not.
