    Assist Senior Sales Leadership in the following areas:

    • Collaborate effectively with account and practice leaders internally to help further the channel sales strategy and lead our business development pursuits.
    • Thoughtfully qualify client opportunities related to cloud projects from both internal and external lead generation.
    • Generate and close millions in sales of cloud and/or adjacent consulting services
    • Establish new client logos for IT Vortex and support deeper penetration at existing IT Vortex clients through cloud project sales and delivery opportunities
    • Identify, lead and close IT Vortex client opportunities throughout the entire life cycle
    • Partner with key stakeholders in IT Vortex’s alliance ecosystem (ex: Vmware, Dell/EMC, Fortinet, Mitel, Microsoft, TrendMicro, Veeam, and Ingram Micro, etc.) to ensure a coordinated and synchronized messaging across all touch points
    • Create a personal brand and network within the North East’s local footprint to help advertise IT Vortex’s capabilities, model, and competitive advantage in the marketplace.
    • Deliver presentations to partner employees, prospective clients and help to communicate the firms core values and past outcomes to generate excitement about our practice.

    •  Excellent social and business communications skills a must – ability to interact with and build trust with new clients and prospects highly critical.
    • Travel approximately 20%. This includes trips to conferences, partner events, trade shows, etc. The expectation is that many meetings and relationships could be done after normal business hours, and relationship building outside of the office is highly expected/encouraged with fully supported sales expense account.

    Role and Responsibilities: 

    Essential duties and responsibilities may include the following.  Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

    Under the direction of the sales & marketing manager perform the following duties:  

    • Create engaging content to generate interest and virality for the campaign
    • Build Marketing Material content for email blasts & Social Media
    • Schedule and send emails, Post content to Social Media channels including Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin & Facebook
    • Interact with comments and solve any inbound issues

    Education and/or Experience Required

    Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) with a major or concentration in Marketing from four-year college or university preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    •   Experience managing social media on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn

    The principle objective of this position is to architect and provide expert level support and strategy for the production VMware virtualization environment.

    Primary responsibility of the position is to support & manage the production VMware environment, maintain proactive performance monitoring of the environment utilizing specific monitoring tools and play an active role in the day-to-day support activities, administration and projects associated with VMware / VDI infrastructure /applications.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Responsible for designing and supporting IT Vortex’s customer facing virtualization environment (VMware vSphere environment including vCenter, ESXi, HCX, NSX and more)
    • Proactively monitor virtual environment for capacity, stress, risk and workload and take necessary remediation steps.
    • Continuously monitor the security posture of the environment
    • Interface with vendors and internal global teams to ensure the environment conforms to the current standards.
    • Manage Business Continuance in relation to Disaster Recovery.
    • Maintain high system reliability, availability and resiliency levels.
    • Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support for the production environments
    • Perform system upgrades and mandatory security/OS patching.
    • Liaise with application support teams to gather requirements, design, and deploy standard systems
    • Provide 24*7 On call support based on rotation within the team
    • Perform thorough morning checks on all critical applications using existing tools or scripts
    • Strictly abide and follow the company policy and procedures pertaining to change and incident management
    • Responsible for ensuring that all systems are deployed consistent with group standards and best practices
    • Incident and Problem management:  take ownership and work with team to resolve production related issues
    • Follow groups standard security practices within the environment
    • Maintain an accurate and current hardware and infrastructure software inventory

     

     

    Minimum required qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
    • 5-10 years managing VMWare Engineering and Support teams
    • Expert knowledge of VMWare components and technologies such as vCenter, ESXi, Horizon, vSAN, HCX, vCD, and NSX
    • Good working knowledge of VMware APIs and knowledge of at least one scripting technology
    • Good knowledge of the SAN / EMC storage 
    • Good knowledge of iSCSI protocol
    • Good knowledge of networking technology (i.e. function of TCP/IP, SNMP) subnetting and routing.
    • Good knowledge of implementation of SSL Certificates
    • Working knowledge of Active Directory
    • Working knowledge of various database technologies (MS SQL, etc.) as they pertain to Virtualized environments.
    • Good working knowledge of industry and hyper-converged hardware (e.g. vxRail)
    • Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL, PostGRES, MySQL along with MQ Series.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Service oriented, positive, committed and enthusiastic team player.
    • VMware VCAP-DCV Deploy or VCAP-DCV Design Certifications would be a plus

    The principle objective of this position is to architect virtual datacenter environments and cloud migrations for clients including IaaS and VDI or DaaS.

    Primary responsibility of the position is to know all product roadmaps, plan ahead for new technologies, evaluate similar technologies and architect and engineer micro-segmented environments for clients with VMware stack – especially focused around vCD and vCA.
