Fortinet Enterprise Perimeter Services: A Safe Bet for Your Business

Fortinet Enterprise Perimeter Services: A Safe Bet for Your Business

Fortinet, a globally-trusted name in cybersecurity based out of California, announced a partnership last week with a large new client, the Canadian government.

Traded on the NASDAQ under FTNT, the company that began as a startup in 2000 is now a modern cybersecurity conglomerate. The new partnership with Canada is yet another feather in its cap.

“This selection is a testament to Fortinet’s ability to provide the most innovative, highest-performing Security Fabric to secure and simplify IT infrastructure, which enables end-to-end network protection for the Government of Canada, from its data centers to its cloud-based architecture services and protecting mission-critical applications, while adhering to its federal mandates and performance requirements,” said Graham Bushkes, Country Manager for Canada, Fortinet.

According to a news release, Fortinet was selected “to secure [Canada’s] Enterprise Perimeter Services to safeguard the Internet edge, including cloud and data center services with capabilities of 100Gbps+ of scalable threat protection for all traffic, for SSC and its clients.”

Fortinet will be working with an agency of the Canadian government, created to serve as a central IT hub for Canada called Shared Services Canada or SSC.

SSC will leverage a number of Fortinet services including Fortinet Security Fabric, FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), FortiGuard Web Filtering capabilities and advanced threat detection.

“Fortinet has a deep understanding of the unique security needs Canada’s government agencies have, and even more specifically the compliance regulations and the type of critical data that must remain secure.

“We have a long-standing history of working within the Canadian market and with Shared Services Canada, who has again chosen Fortinet to protect the Government’s Internet Services and Enterprise Perimeter Services,” said Bushkes of the client relationship between Canada and Fortinet.

Securing the internet edge perimeter of Canada’s government’s web presence isn’t a small or easy job, but Canada trusts Fortinet to take care of their cybersecurity needs. You can too!
